I-CLAN was ranked amongst the 10 best startups in Africa out of 160+ African startups at that Daikin-Samurai incubate Ideathon Airtech Bootcamp Africa held in Nairobi. Other competitors included startups from Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal and Tanzania. I-CLAN was the only startup representing the whole of Central Africa and were finalists at the competition.
Before the Samurai Ideathon, ICLAN had previously been selected to participate at the grand launch of the Youth Connekt Africa Initiative in October 2018 in Rwanda. I-CLAN equally participated in the Google Sub-Saharan Africa community summit in Ghana upon invitation from Google.
The prime minister of Cameroon His Excellency Joseph Ngute congratulated I-CLAN team in person and encouraged them to introduce more innovations that would transform and digitize Cameroon’s systems to meet world class standards and set the pace of innovations and digital advancement that Cameroonian Youths ought to venture in.
